Brothers In Christ (“BIC”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect through brotherinchrist.com, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Effective 2026-09-08.
01Who we are
Brothers In Christ is a faith-centred apparel brand and ministry based in Lodi, California. We operate this website and are responsible for the personal information collected through it. You can reach us at brothersinchrist209@gmail.com or +1 (209) 253-2526.
02What we collect
We collect only what a request requires:
- Orders — collected by the Brothers In Christ store when you complete a purchase there, not by this website.
- Contact form — your name, email address, the topic, your order reference if relevant, and your message.
- Newsletter — your email address and a record that you consented to receive updates.
- Prayer requests — only what you choose to share. Name and email are optional, and you may submit anonymously.
- Cart — the items you add are stored in your own browser so they are still there when you return. They stay on your device until you check out.
- Technical data — like every website, our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, time) to keep the site secure and running. We do not use these to build profiles of visitors.
03How prayer requests are handled
Prayer requests are private by default. They are delivered only to the authorised BIC team, are never published, never added to a mailing list, and never used for marketing. We do not place prayer content in analytics, advertising systems, or web addresses.
Your request reaches us by email, so a copy passes through our email delivery provider and stays in the BIC inbox that receives it. We do not store prayer requests anywhere else. Ask us and we will delete a request we still hold.
04Payments
This website does not take payment. When you check out, we hand you to the Brothers In Christ store, which collects your order and payment details under its own privacy policy. We never see or store card details.
05How we use your information
We use what we collect to:
- fulfil and deliver your order, and handle returns, refunds and questions about it;
- reply to messages you send us;
- send newsletter updates you asked for — you can stop them at any time;
- pray for you, when you ask us to;
- keep the website secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems;
- meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
08We do not sell your information
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. We will disclose information only if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or to enforce our terms.
09How long we keep it
- Order records — for as long as we need them to fulfil the order, handle returns, and meet tax and accounting requirements.
- Contact messages and prayer requests — kept in the receiving inbox; deleted on request.
- Newsletter — until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you.
10Security
The whole site is served over HTTPS. Card details never touch our servers. Access to the inboxes that receive your messages is limited to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so if you believe your information has been mishandled, please tell us straight away.
11Your rights and choices
You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any message. You can also ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by contacting brothersinchrist209@gmail.com or +1 (209) 253-2526. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on a request, and we will not treat you differently for making one.
If you are a California resident, these choices reflect your rights under California privacy law, including the rights to know, to delete, to correct, and to not be discriminated against. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in that law. Residents of other places with similar rights can use the same contact details.
12Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
13Visitors outside the United States
We are based in the United States and process information here. By using the site you understand that your information will be handled in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live.
14Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. If a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will say so clearly here.
